Stop rebuilding the Friday update.
Let the client look for themselves.
Share a job and your client gets their own view of it: where each candidate sits, who you shortlisted, and somewhere to say yes or no in writing. They see the roles you shared and nothing else. If they won't log into anything, send a link with an expiry date instead.

What can the client actually see?
The roles you shared with them, the stage each candidate is at, the profiles you shortlisted, and their own decisions. What they cannot see is the rest of your desk, your other clients, your costs or your margins — that separation is enforced on the server, not by hiding a menu.
Will it create more work for me?
It removes the status email. The portal reflects the board you're already keeping, so progress a candidate once and the client sees it. Feedback comes back in writing, attached to the candidate, instead of buried in a thread you have to find again.
My client won't log into another system.
Then don't make them. Send a link instead: a shortlist or a market report as a public page with no account, an expiry date you set, and revocation that makes it disappear. You can see when they opened it.
Shortlist link opened by the client 2 hours after sending, before your follow-up call. Link expires 14 Aug; revoking it 404s the page.

3 steps · about a minuteEverything else buyers ask
Can they reject someone without telling me why?
They can accept or reject, and the form asks for the reason. That reason is the most useful thing in the whole loop. It re-tunes the screening bar for the next batch instead of being lost in a phone call you half remember.
Is there a per-client charge?
No. Portal users are part of your organisation, separated by permission rather than billed as seats.
Can I share a role with more than one person at the client?
Yes, and each keeps their own decisions and feedback.
Does the shared link expose my organisation?
No. Public reports are a viewer-safe projection: no organisation, no creator, no internal economics.
Can I turn the portal off for a client?
Yes, per job. Sharing is something you do deliberately, not a default.

A one-month pilot runs on two real roles from your desk. The fee credits 100% toward month one, so the trial costs you nothing if you continue.
